The Botanical Garden (simulation) in Beijing

The Botanical Garden (simulation) in Beijing not just optimizes energy utility but also radiates heat efficiently leaving you with cool surroundings!

E-GLAS is active glass that converts electric energy into heat. Depending on the way it is composed, it emits energy inward or outward to:  melt snow, prevent condensation and heat the room.
Weighing nothing and requiring no maintenance, it enables the user to benefit from maximum sunshine and the designer/architect to preserve the integrity of the building design.

E-GLAS allows the builder to use large glass surfaces in cold, snowy or icy environments without running the risk of dangerous weight build-up on a roof or accidents due to falling snow or ice. E-GLAS melts away snow from gently sloping roof glazings too. The metal structure of a glass roof can therefore be lighter, lowering the cost of construction. Similarly, energy consumption is minimized thanks to the high-performance laboratory-tested electronic controls. Extremely close to snow or ice, the energy efficiency of the heat source is still optimum. It produces very pleasant, uniform, almost sensual warmth while generating no drafts, so there is far less dust suspended in the air. No more need for radiators or convectors, furnaces and pipes. It heats up very quickly, and is perfect for spaces that are not always fully heated, like holiday homes. The glass is always clear and dry and, therefore, stays clean longer.
No more need for old-fashioned vents at the bottom of windows, glass partitions and mirrors.Because it involves no wires, E-GLAS is totally transparent. It looks exactly like a normal window or a glass separation wall.

DIGITAL GLASS SOLUTIONS FOR DYNAMIC FACADES

A transparent glass facade conceived as a digital skin for buildings. As a medium for multimedia creativity the architectural envelope interacts dynamically with the urban space and everyone in it

Digital Glass Solutions for Dynamic Facades

Occupants retain unobstructed vision outwards from the building

Offering full compliance with all applicable standards covering facade glazing (solar control, thermal insulation, acoustic insulation, etc.), DMF 2.0 technology is a large-scale double glazing solution that incorporates a matrix of LEDs to enable the display of all types of digital content (video, still images, graphics, etc.) without obscuring outward view.
Integrating this matrix into a glass partition wall offers an architectural solution that is equally elegant when viewed from outside or inside.

These effective technologies offer new creative possibilities to architects seeking glazing solutions for graphic, light-emitting and communication-enabled facades.

LED in Glass - a series of Saint Gobain Next Gen Glass

Saint-Gobain Glass introduces LED in Glass in its series of Gen Next Glass where futuristic technology blends seamlessly with creative concepts in design to result in environments that are cool, classy and contemporary. LED in Glass animates itself through a dynamic interplay of light and colour, unleashing endless possibilities as an advanced architectural glass lighting system. As a comprehensive, sustainable active glass system, it diffuses multi-coloured light emitted by LEDs controlled by programmable electronics, making the entire glass surface light up.

LED In Glass brings glass alive with luminosity and colours, both during the day as well as night. A simple remote control design enables it to be pre-programmed & interactive, thereby coming in handy while conceiving possible set-ups. On demand, it can give out homogenous/customized lighting and in the 'off' position, it is relatively transparent. Double-glazing LED in GLASS is available in various sizes & shapes and can also be combined with other glass types. It can be easily installed through 'Plug & Play' and can be maintained in a hassle-free manner.

Having a wide range of applications across the indoor and outdoor space, LED in Glass finds popular use in shopping centers, boutiques, pubs, discotheques, cinema theatres, gyms, spas, hotels, restaurants and other places of recreation. It is also widely used in art galleries, public transport stations, and corporates and also in clinics.

LED in Glass consumes low power, has international certifications and comes with a long-term guarantee (10 years for glass, 5 years for the LEDs, 2 years for hardware, subject to respect of the implementation instructions and if a certified QUANTUM GLASS™ installer has conducted the installation).

Slovenia's Indoor Undulating Panoramic Garden by Sadar+Vuga Architects

Slovenia's Indoor Garden by Sadar+Vuga Architects

Slovenia is one place full of lush greenery and gardens. This exclusive piece of architecture describes the “Green garden” theme.

The interior décor sets a perfect ambience for events because of the unique undulating curves, plant life and awe-inspiring sleek design.

Sadar+Vuga Architects created a gorgeously simple building for the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia, and it couldn’t be a more enjoyable building to set sight on.

The entire building is centered on plant life– even the facade, which came to be because of a cross section of a plant leaf.

Totaling 2,095 square feet, the CCIS features a steel structure, double glazing and thin cantilevered shades.
